help! static electricity is literally every where in my home!!?
i am having a real problem with static electricity ,almost everything i touch , the sofa , my bed covers, the light switch , the wall, and needless to say when we touch each other , we are hit by static electricity , i bought a non-static spray but it didnt help and it has a verry strong smell , i am pregnant and preferred not to use it again , how can i get rid of this electricity ,, and is it in anyway dangerous for me and my kids ??
ps i did try the humidifier before, but it didnt work
Adding humidity to the air in the house will help. Unfortunately, it's hard to humidify your whole house with a tabletop humidifier. One way, although not necessarily cheap, is to install a humidifier onto your furnace. It humidifies the air when the furnace is on.
You can also make your own anti-static solution using 10 parts water and 1 part fabric softener. Find one with either a pleasant odor or one with little or no odor. Put it into a spray bottle and spray your carpeting to reduce static buildup.
