How to get my cat to quit jumping on night stand and shelves?
in my room i have a night stand that sits against the wall about 2 feet away from a nook. i have a shelf at the top of this nook. my cat has taken a sudden interest in the shelf at the top of my nook. i keep a lot of computer hardware up there and my cat keeps jumping on my night stand and onto the shelf. without the night stand, she can't reach the shelf, but there is no place else to put it. I've tried putting stuff on it where she couldn't jump on it, but then she gets on my bed and jumps on the stuff i put on the night stand. nothing is working and she is literally doing this every ten minutes. how can i get her to stop or lose curiosity in it?
make a really loud noise, then yell at her every time she jumps up. if she doesn't get down, very angrily come over to her and pick her up and put her outside your room and shut the door.
