How do I make my bedroom more grown up.?

I'm 18, and I'm tired of living in the same room I had since I was 14, my parents wont let me repaint and I've figured I'll be staying here a bit longer than planned due to me upcoming surgery., My room is red but then there is a border of wood separating the white (on the wall) and another one on the ceiling separating gray... I have a twin size bed (electric), a futon, book shelve, shelving units, and a dresser along with a filing cabinet my guitar, keyboard, and this HUGE teddy bear (Tiger) that my ex won at an amusement park.... I also have a rolling desk which is used for laptops but it's full of clothes right now lol.. any advice?
I have no posters what so ever, and I I don't really have any other stuffed animals out except for the big tiger, I don't know what to do with it

1] remove all toys - store whay t you are REALLY attached to, and donate the rest
2] remove all posters/artwork from walls
3] replace ONLY art you really love
4] clean out shelves, bookcase
5] keep only what you use/love [ donate the rest ]
6] no juvenile prints [ bedding etc ] or accessories [ hello kitty clock ]
7] get rid of all clothing, shoes, handbags that are:
too small
too big
wrong color
wrong style [ doante them too ]
