30 Nov 2009You probably know already that a teens' bedroom is their sanctuary and most of their time will be spent there. These days they are equipped with TV, laptop, and cell phone. Only when they are hungry, will they come out. All kidding aside though, it is important to spend some time deciding with your teen what they would like in their teen bedroom furniture. You may find that all they truly wish for is zebra print bedding!
Contemplate the meaning of your house to you. These places, such as your living room, den, bedroom, serve a purpose for you. The place to spend time entertaining, resting or relaxing. A bedroom is a place where your teen will express all these things. Make sure you keep this in mind when purchasing the bedroom furniture. You need to make sure it functions as an area for study, entertainment, relaxation, and have a place to store a lot of excess things so it is not completely cluttered.
Idea's For Your Teen's Bedroom
Selecting a suitable bed should be your first step. A dresser is necessary as well. Aside from that, what should you look for? Sometimes additional seating is required. This can be accomplished by a futon. It doesn't have to be a place for your teen to sleep. If you want a guest bed that can be used as a couch or chair, purchase a fouton. Perhaps you will get fancy and add a zebra comforter.
By purchasing a desk, or at least a computer table, it will ensure that your teen has a place to accomplish school work. If you purchase a trunk, it can have many uses, such as a mini table or storage agea.
While doing all this, make sure it fulfills your teen wishes, of course. This can be a somewhat difficult part. They might not be interested in choosing complete sets, even though there are many of them available, so an option is to select each piece to put together a room. This is fine, so long as you select quality pieces that will last them through their college years! And remeber, if they truly desire zebra sheets, go for it!
