Modern Wall Beds Mattresses

I need some ideas for my bedroom!?

we're getting new everything.
new rug, dressers, bedding....

our walls are plain white, closet doors and main door is a dark dark brown, our bed is just a box spring and mattress and i have no idea what i should do with this room! its so blah and i cant take it anymore! does anyone have any color ideas (not for the walls but the bedding and rug colors that go well together) our dressers are going to be all black.
i like any style, my husband likes more of a modern contemporary look...

I just read on HGTV, that the color of the year is turquoise.Dark blue is also good and red is big this year.
