does anoyone know what "laminated composite wood" means?

im looking for furniture and i am wanting it to be real wood. i came across an entire bedroom set that i love (headboard, nightstands, dressers, everything) and it says it is made out of "laminated composite wood" what does that mean? is it wood or not? Please someone help me understand.

And does anyone know good places to look for king size bookcase headboards?? (that's what i am looking for because i love to read as does my significant other and we agreed we want a bookcase headboard for our king size bed)

composite usually means that something is made out of 2 components

maybe 2 diferent wood are used? or the wood is laminated therefore 2 in one i dont know
