How can I repair the canvas/Fabric on my Hide-A-Bed?

I want to know how I can fix the canvas/Fabric on my hide-a-bed. It ripped away from the metal frame. Is there an easy home fix or do I need a whole new canvas? If so where in the world do I find a replacement canvas?? Please help! Thanks!
The canvas is what is used to hold the mattress up. There is a small metal bar.rod that runs through the canvas then the springs hook on the bar and into the holes on the actual frame. It looks more like a Tarp fabric.

You could probably use the same technique of repairing screens in this case: if the canvas is completely ripped from the frame, you'll need to weave together the existing piece to some addition - you can buy canvas at any art store. Since this will be taking a lot of weight and stress, it is important to be diligent and thorough in sewing together the two pieces. Measure longer and wider than the actual rip, so you have plenty of unravelled fabric upon which to work. If there were gromits that attached the canvas to the frame, you may have to utilize more new canvas to wrap around the frame (fashioning some kind of sleeve) if the existing canvas has ripped extensively. If you have a curved needle - like one used for carpets, this will probably be the easiest to use. Do not use ordinary thread (like you may use for buttons, etc). Find some high test threading - even 6lb fishing line, and make sure your sewing pattern is tight. Good luck~
