Wooden furniture of this kind is obviously more expensive than the flat packs, but it can last for many, manys years, over 20 years is not uncommon. Garden furniture of this kind is usually delivered whole and ready to use, so there's no need to try and work out any complicated instructions as you would get with flat packs.

Wooden garden furniture that is made from hardwoods, such as Teak or Iroko, are the best option as they are harder wearing and can withstand the elements far more than softwood. All wood naturally expands and contracts during different climates, but this reaction is minimal with hardwood, so there isn't any great need to treat your wooden furniture.
